When the original Foxwoods opened in February of 1992, there were only three restaurants and a piano bar to wine and dine casino patrons. There are 24 food and beverage outlets located throughout Foxwoods, ranging from quick and casual eateries to elegant, fine dining establishments. The cuisine ranges from Italian, Asian and seafood, to steak, pizza and deli. Al Dente (Italian), Han Garden (Asian), Fox Harbour (seafood) and Cedars Steak House are the gourmet restaurants. More casual options include the Festival Buffet's endless options, The Bistro's California style pizza and nouveau Italian cuisine, and The Deli, a full-service, New York style restaurant.
Given the number of places to deplete your funds and expand your waistline, there is no excuse for going hungry. In fact, you can satisfy your cravings anytime, day or night. Many restaurants keep late hours and a few are open into the wee hours of the morning. The Golden Dragon dishes up Asian cuisine until 4:00 a.m. weekdays and 5:00 a.m. weekends. The Veranda Café serves American favorites 24 hours a day.
